The deduced extracellular parts of the AMIGOs contain six leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) flanked by cysteine-rich LRR NH2- and COOH-terminal domains and by one immunoglobulin domain close to the transmembrane region. A substrate-bound form of the recombinant AMIGO ectodomain promoted prominent neurite extension in hippocampal neurons, and in solution, the same AMIGO ectodomain inhibited fasciculation of neurites. | Translation - Portuguese
As partes extracelulares deduzidas dos genes AMIGO contém seis repetições ricas em leucina (RRLs) ladeadas por domínios terminais NH2- e COOH do tipo LRRs ricos em cisteína e por um domínio de imunoglobulina próximo à região transmembrana. Uma forma do ectodomínio recombinante do AMIGO ligada ao substrato promoveu o aumento significativo de neuritos nos neurônios do hipocampo, e em solução, o mesmo ectodomínio do AMIGO inibiu a fasciculação dos neuritos. |
