I am an Italian mother tongue translator. I work from English and Spanish and I am currently trying to enhance my Russian.
I graduated in 2012 in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation in Milan (BA), then, after a brief experience as a tax return specialist, I obtained an MA in Bilingual Translation in London (2015).
I worked as an Intern and then Apprentice in a multinational translation agency in Milan from December 2015 until June 2019, when I decided to become a freelance translator. There, I was mainly in charge of QAs (also active) and revisions on translations, I was responsible for internal TM management and maintenance, I carried out translations of internal documents, I dealt with terminology management, PM support and technical support to freelancers. During these years I had the opportunity to learn a lot about the translation industry, learn how to use CAT Tools, worked under ISO quality standards and became familiar with PEMT processes.
I have experience mainly in the economic/financial area (financial statements, corporate documents, price sensitive press releases, etc.), transfer pricing documentation, sustainability texts (sustainability reports, articles, etc.), and legal general documents (T&C, contracts, etc.), but I also had the opportunity to deal with other content types (e.g. furniture, cosmetics, oenology, websites, etc.). I would certainly like to expand my experience in some of these fields and I am interested in being trained in new ones.
I am an advanced user of MS Office and MemoQ, I am an intermediate user of SDL Trados Studio.
I am passionate about travelling and getting to know new places, cultures and uses. I love dancing and ballet, reading, watching movies and TV series, playing board games with my friends, cooking and cycling.
