QUALITY ASSURANCE
Projects are assigned to translators, who have passed translation tests. We allocate projects of specific fields to translators specializing in this field (especially to those having an appropriate education). Translators are advised to follow Co-operation Terms and Conditions describing all required quality aspects including grammatical correctness, right vocabulary, terminology consistency, handling with formatting and layout etc. Non-observances cause fines for translators. Additional criteria also apply when assigning a project to the appropriate translator.
After translation is delivered, it is always (regardless of the translator's rank) passed to an editor to review the translation against the source and to spell-check it. The translators are also required to preserve original formatting and layout. It is prescribed in Co-operation Terms and Conditions but first of all, the ability to preserve it is checked within testing procedure. Translators with good translation abilities but lack of attention to layout and formatting have less chances to get jobs. If layout and formatting is simple enough, the editors check it along with the pure translation matters; in more complicated cases, additional DTP specialists are involved. The quality of each job done is evaluated; the average score is maintained for each translator.

TESTING PROCESS
We invite only native speakers of target language that is Russian from among residents of Russia (and some countries of former USSR). The translators must have higher linguistic education and several years of translation experience. They undergo testing that is intended to check translation quality, and CAT working abilities, as well as attention to formatting/layout. They are required to follow the Test Translation Instruction while performing the test. The test translations are evaluated by several criteria such as grammar, vocabulary, proper terminology, terminology consistency, punctuation etc. We have 10 score system (from 0 to 10; 10 means "perfect"). Translator with score of at least 7 may be our vendors. Additionally, the quality of each job done is evaluated every time, the average score is maintained for each translator. The editors are selected from among translators with a score of at least 9. They undergo additional edition test to check whether and how they detect and correct potential errors.
