Asker: Я тоже так предполагал, но засомневался. Почему тогда примерно одинаково часто встречается и тот и другой вариант? По грамматике "fusion polypeptide" как-бы должен быть "полипептидом слития". И в русскоязычной литературе "полипептид слития" (а в україномовній - "поліпепдид злиття") тоже встречаются.
