I saw a different spelling "caeca". In any case I think it's related to "слепая кишка".

Как и все животные, которые обычно переваривают большие порции травы, гусь имеет цекум, или слепой отросток толстой кишки, где с помощью бактерий перерабатываются растительные волокна. Как правило, на шесть или семь нормальных опорожнений кишечника приходится одно из цекума, а оно имеет особый едкий запах и очень яркий темно-зелёный цвет.

Если же гуси встревожены, одно опорожнение цекума следует за другим. Более одиннадцати лет истекло с тех пор, как гуси принимали участие в чаепитии, но за это время зелёные пятна на ковре стали лишь бледно-жёлтыми.
