The meaning is not sharp. Is there any one-word Arabic equivalent?

neutral Mohsin Alabdali : The knife has two edges: a sharp and a blunt endge. مثلّم does not apply to the blunt edge. It applies nicely to the sharp edge if it has grooves on it.
