Babs Paylink was founded in 1999 when the payment terminal operations was separated from Swedbank and turned into a company of its own. Today, Swedbank owns 49 % of the company and the American public company Verifone owns 51 %. Babs Paylink has been specializing in developing software and different card payment solutions since it was first started. Since 2007 they are also offering terminals that can be integrated with a cash register. These terminals have brought much success and growth to the company. Today, Babs Paylink has a staff of about 65 people, is market leading and administrate more than 50 000 register integrated and stand-alone payment terminals.

Babs Paylink grundades 1999 då terminalverksamheten lyftes ut från Swedbank och blev ett eget företag. Idag ägs de till 49% av Swedbank och 51% av det amerikanska börsnoterade bolaget Verifone. My name is Sophie Påhlsson and I am the business owner of and translator, proofreader etc. at Plotline Communications. My native language is Swedish, but I started to learn English at the age of four. This and the fact that I have a MA in English with a one year specialization in translation makes me feel comfortable to translate texts from both English to Swedish and the other way around. BACKGROUND
When the time came for me to go to college, my love for the English language led me to Växjö University and the program "International administration with languages". Following this program, I spent three semesters studying English, two semesters studying political science and one semester as a trainee at EF International Language Schools in Toronto, Canada. For my bachelor’s thesis I studied the translation of the first three Harry Potter books from English to Swedish.
I started helping private business owners with translation projects from time to time while I was studying at Växjö University, and a few years after completing my undergrad I decided to apply to Linnaeus university, which offered a graduate program in English with a one year specialization in translation. We practiced translating all kinds of texts (business, technical, medical, general etc. etc.) and then translated one longer text, which we than analyzed, for our master thesis. I chose to focus on medical translation. I graduated in June 2013 and have since been building my translation business on the side of teaching part time. Even though I focused on medical translation for my thesis, I work on all kinds of texts – both non-fictional and fictional. Since the spring 2015 I am the primary freelance translator for one of the world’s largest ERP-companies and some of their partners which means that I am well versed when it comes to texts about IT and e-commerce.
Besides English and political science, I have also studied business administration and management, music, geology, learning and psychology.
