SURGE DETECTION
Surge is characterized by rhythmic fluctuations of discharge pressure. Typically, the time between pulses is between 1/4 second and 5 seconds. Surge is an unstable operating condition that can cause structural damage to the rotor blades. Several conditions can cause surge; for example, a momentary discharge spike beyond response time of the valves, or poorly adjusted controls. Surge is sensed by a rapid drop in discharge pressure, followed by a pressure rise. If the control system detects a surge, the compressor unloads automatically and remains unloaded until the Reset button is pressed. There is an option available to automatically reload the compressor after a short time delay. With this option, if the compressor surges three times in a one hour period, then the compressor will remain unloaded until the Reset button is pressed		Translation - Russian
ОБНАРУЖЕНИЕ ПОМПАЖА
Помпаж характеризуется ритмическими пульсациями давления газа на выходе. Как правило, интервал между пульсациями составляет от 1/4 до 5 секунд. Помпаж является неустойчивым рабочим режимом, который может привести к механическим повреждениям лопаток ротора. Помпаж может быть вызван различными причинами; например, кратковременным всплеском давления, продолжительность которого меньше времени реакции клапанов, или плохо отрегулированными органами управления. Признаком помпажа является быстрое падение давления на выходе, за которым следует увеличение давления. Если система управления обнаруживает помпаж, то компрессор автоматически разгружается и остается в этом состоянии до тех пор, пока не будет нажата кнопка Сброс (Reset). Существует опция, которая позволяет автоматически разгружать компрессор после короткой временной задержки. Если задействована эта опция, то в том случае, когда помпаж компрессора будет отмечен три раза за период продолжительностью один час, компрессор будет оставаться ненагруженным до тех пор, пока не будет нажата кнопка Сброс (Reset).
