Swedish term

verksjurist

Swedish to English Law/Patents Law (general) title
Anyone know what the job title of "verksjurist" means in English please? I've seen legal advisor - would this be accurate? (No specific context in my document to write down).
TIA

Discussion

Karin Lindqvist Mar 31, 2011:
I have the impression that a 'verksjurist' also can refer to someone who works for a government agency (ett 'verk´). In that case you might want to play around with government department/agency attorney/legal advisor etc.

company lawyer

The point is, this is an employee of the company, as opposed
to an outside law firm called in and which bills for services,
typically by the hour - at very high rates.

in-house counsel

"In-house" refers to within the company itself, as opposed to outside counsel, which would be attorneys working for outside law firms hired to represent the company.
