: "buhardilla" is in a ProZ glossary as "attic" and it seems that they are talking about a space under the roof but not the roof itself

Una buhardilla es un ático, sin duda la casa tiene uno de esos techos en pico muy pronunciados, en donde hay espacio para convertirlo en otro piso, con esas ventanas que sobresalen. Gracias Patricia - teju :)

According to my dictionary..Buhardilla: Ventana que sobresale en el tejado de una casa, para dar luz a los desvanes. Habitacion dispuesta en el desván de una casa.
From the wording of the original I'm inclined to think that the first definition fits better and that it has a window of some kind.
