Spanish term
Compensar las primas sobre polizas que se le adecuen
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Insurance
I am having a lot of trouble understanding the sense of the following:
"La compania tendra el derecho de compensar las primas sobre polizas que se le adecuen, con la prestacion debida al beneficiario."
I don't undesrtand what the exact meaning is of "se le adecuen" and really, the whole sentence.
Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks so much,

Offset premiums due against
adecuen seems to be a typo for adeuden?
Note from asker:
thank you very much! Yes, later on I indeed found this sentence repeated and it was adeudar. However, I still don't understand the sense of it and how the rest of the sentence would o..."the company shall have the right to compensate the policy premiums owed to them with the benefits due to the beneficiary? Or as you suggested: the company shall offset the premiums due against the benefit due to the beneficiary. I cannot make sense of that. Any suggestions?-?! Thanks. Patsy |
