The 'ka' ending of girls' names often uses the character for 'fragrance', but as for the other 2 syllables, you'd have to ask your namers! Is one of your parents Japanese?

"Tomoka" is a fairly common girl's name but I can see that your name is spelt differently. "Tomaka", although very unusual, is not impossible, I guess..... As for the meaning, that would depend on the characters used to write your name.

Are you sure it is Japanese name? What it supposed to be? Name of a place, a thing, a person? By itself it means nothing (at least to me).

篷香

Assuming that kanjis are to be applied to all Japanese names, then this seems to be the only sensible combination.
I came to realize it's a beautiful name ;-) "智香" (tomoka) indeed is popular, but "篷香" looks far more graceful, doesn't it? Sorry Tomoka, nothing personal!

agree mikis1128 : Kanji might be 苫香, since 苫 and 篷 have same meaning, and lot of Japanese know 苫 better. (ex.) 苫小牧(the place in Hokkaido) But 篷香 has more elegant atmosphere!

I know someone called Tomoka with the character "朋香". And it is not unusuall. 朋 means: companion; a friend; a partner. This Chinese character orininally menas "the one which is equal to another." Thus, I guess 朋香 means "the person with a great fragrance/scent.
