German term

Anmeldemarke

German to English Bus/Financial Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright Patents
This appears in the heading of a letter regarding a patent and is followed by a number. There is no further context.

Is this "registered patent" or "patent applied for" or something else?

Correction Edith is correct, of course. In my haste, I got my words mixed up!

trademark application / applied for

It's not the patent, it relates to a trademark in relation to a patent. It could even be a servicemark. And it's also not yet registered.
