Discussion

Susan Zimmer Jan 12, 2007:
I understand, but in the German text, they are not differentiating either, or they would be using the word "Beauftragung" or "Auftrag". You could add "service" to order - "individually customized service order"...
Jonathan MacKerron (asker) Jan 12, 2007:
my concern is that their "ordering" a coach, i.e. person and not a thing

Individual order

If you prefer "appointment" - I don't know if it fits here, but an "Einzelbestellung" is still an indivual order.

You could also say "individually customized order" or "customized order"....

So, are you making it "Coaching Agreement - Individual Contracts"? That might work, or you can say possibly in that case "personalized contracts"....I guess, though, that changes the action part of the word to the other party.
Note from asker:
given the overall context perhaps "individual contracts" is best, i.e. contracts customized for each accepted applicant

one-off order

A custom or one-off order for a specific customer, usually of a product not carried in normal inventory. This is how one can understand.

Since you are talking about HR / Training issues, I can only interpret this to mean "engagement of a specialist for handling a specific / exceptional situation"

1 day 1 hr

Single order(s)

I think the German says a little more than it really has to, and I'd suggest something like this:

"Commissioning of individual coaching (courses) in exceptional circumstances".

In which case, the courses would by definition be "individual orders", wouldn't they?
