German to English
Bus/Financial
Automotive / Cars & Trucks
In a business document about car leasing.
I have understood this - I fear erroneously - as 'The percentage of new leased cars has increased from 28.5% of the total car market in 2001 to 34.4% in 2011'. Think I must be wrong though because the total car market = 43 million registered cars whereas leasing of new cars = 1.6 million. (approx 3 million newly registered cars a year).
Any help with meaning of whole sentence greatly appreciated.
