this now concerns the period from February 1st, 1985 to November 1st, 1986, during which xxx was yyy at the head office as well as from the offsetting point of view (or as the claim of the defendant), the period from November 1st, 1986 to September 1st, 1987

this sounds like a lawsuit by a laid-off employee against their former employer for additional backpay / severance pay for early or unscheduled termination of their labor contract

on second thought, the first answer from F. Schultze seems to be right but I would boil the translated term down to "implicitly" (of course depending on the context of the translation)
