To resolve the conundrum, earnings or equity in accounting terms - as our esteemed accountants and insolvency practitioners will or ought to know - can be negative, so either a loss or a shortfall on paper, whereas income and revenue IMO (at the Bar, our opinions or onions are *not* allowed to be 'humble') cannot be.

Did you check if € 28,177 is the last figure "utile (perdita) d'esercizio" in the income statement table?
If yes we are sure they are referring to current profit or loss in this case
