Hallo,
ich habe hier einen Text über verschiedene Alageformen und -instrumente. Hier kommt immer wieder die Phrase "advised by an investment advisor" vor, z.B.:
How does a Professional determine whether a mutual fund is advised by a Restricted Entity investment adviser?
Bedeutet "advised" hier "empfohlen" oder gibt es einen speziellen Ausdruck in dem Kontext? Danke im Voraus!

But ... "empfohlen" back-translates as "recommended" and there is a huge difference between a fund being "recommended" by someone and being "advised" by someone. If an advisor recommends Fund X, he/she is suggesting to people that they invest in Fund X. If the advisor advises Fund X, he is providing advice to the Fund on how it should operate.
