rhythmic triple time/meter
compás imperfecto and ternario both imply 3/4 time:
RAE: compás ternario.

See "compases fundamentales":

: You're right about the imperfect meaning. Thanks for pointing it out. However, I'm not sure how Lisa's going to add "ternario" after this?

rhythmic imperfect metre
rhythmic imperfect metre - in triple time
Metre sounds better than "bar" here.
A circle used as a mensuration sign indicated tempus perfectum (a circle being a symbol of completeness), while an incomplete circle, resembling a letter C, indicated tempus imperfectum. Assuming the breve to be a beat, this corresponds to the modern concepts of triple meter and duple meter, respectively.

I'm slightly confused as imperfect time is 4/4, which is not triple. Hence my confidence level of 2!

In view of Joshua's valid comment, I would put "rhythmic imperfect Spanish metre" followed by "in triple time".

: Emma, I *think* imperfect time is 4/4 in English but "compás imperfecto" is in 3 in Spanish. See my references below. (Off topic: And yes, it's nice to meet another Goldsmith!)

Good point. Please see the note I have added.

a rhythmic irregular beat
A rhythmic beat but not constant in the entire carol, e.g. only in the chorus or "estibillo"/refrain. The secondary beat appears previously "on the semibreve". I think one would have to hear the carol's rhythm's to be absolutely sure.
