Random reference Edwin heeft gelijk. In de tekst/context in de onderstaande link wordt duildelijk dat short en long uitdrukkingen zijn. Roberto, het is trouwens de bedoeling van dit forum dat je 1 woord per vraag stelt, b.v. long.

No error No, there's no error in the source text. Long and short are commonly used as prepositions in financial texts.

error in phrase? Shouldn't it either be 'has historically been along the FTSE 100' OR 'has historically been long FTSE 100'? Maybe ask client what is meant and whether there is an error. Or, if 'long FTSE 100' is not an existing option, the first option should be true.
