Experience
Years of experience: 16. Registered at ProZ.com: Aug 2008.
Throughout my 20 years living in Ireland, I have been exposed to the idea translation in many different ways; during my college education for instance or in my work as a teacher.
Some years ago I was also asked by the Department of Justice to act as an interpreter before the Court on two occasions.
All these various experiences have given me a taste and a genuine fondness for translation.
My husband is Irish and we have 3 children who benefit from having 2 languages at home.
I also speak Spanish and have a love for languages.
I am planning to work as a full time translator. My goal is to specialise in the legal field in the next year or two when I undertake a legal studies course.
