Bio
I am Brazilian born and British descendant, Portuguese and English both being my native
languages. I have been working on and off as a freelance translator for over 20
years, and have translated from books to news articles on subjects ranging from
sports medicine to fashion. I have also translated as a volunteer for Amnesty
International (Urgent Actions and reports) for ten years and have been translating/subtitling as a volunteer for TED Talks. For the past 18 years, I have
also worked as a bilingual secretary in law firms and have gained experience in
legal translations, both to and from English, mainly in the corporate area. I am discreet, thorough, a fast worker, and handle pressure well (i.e., tight deadlines).
