My name is Elena García and I was born in the beautiful city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain). I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Intepreting (2013) and a Master’s Degree in Professional Translation and Intercultural Mediation (2015), both from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In 2014, I was appointed as a Sworn Translator and Interpreter of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. Also, I am a professional member of Asetrad (the Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders and Intepreters).

My mother tongue is Spanish and I have worked as a professional translator since 2011. During these years, I have gathered substantial experience in the translation of texts on life sciences, medicine, pharmaceuticals and patents. Although in the past I have combined my career as a translator with other jobs, since May 2018, I have exclusively devoted myself to translation as a freelance translator.
