Qualifications:

BA and MA in Classics and Modern Languages (German), Balliol College, Oxford with a year at the University of Göttingen

Diploma in Hungarology, University of Pécs

Diploma in Translation (specialising in social sciences), ELTE University, Budapest


Experience:

Eight years' experience as a journalist, copy editor and translator for two weekly newspapers

Eleven years' experience as a freelance translator specialising in political analyses, speeches, government correspondence, European Parliament documents and texts relating to the publishing and printing industries.

I have also translated books about the history of Central and Eastern Europe and Hungarian cultural history, academic papers on criminology and extensive reports on minority rights.
