English term or phrase: closures and exclusions
A nemzetközi kapcsolatok elméleteiről, különböző analitikus megközelítésekről szól a szöveg.
Az alábbi kontextusban a CLOSURE szót nem igazán tudom értelmezni.
" ....all standpoints should be subjected to forms of critical analysis that highlights their closures and
exclusions."

social closure: társadalmi rétegződés v. tagozódás / social exclusion: társadalmi kirekesztés
Explanation:
Social exclusion is a multidimensional, relational process of denying opportunities for social participation, severing social bonds, and impairing social solidarity. Exclusion may be based upon racial, ethnic, linguistic, caste, religious, and other cultural identities as well as upon age, gender, sexuality, disability, poverty, unemployment, socioeconomic conditions, and place of residence dimensions that tend to overlap, intersect, and accumulate over time. Social exclusion has interrelated negative consequences for both the excluded individuals and society as a whole. As a social relationship, exclusion may be deliberate or institutional, face to face or impersonal. Regardless, it involuntarily restricts one's fulfillment of normatively prescribed social roles. Social inclusion does not necessarily remedy social exclusion. Both terms are used in sociological and policy discourse.

A társadalmi kirekesztésnek mind a kirekesztettek, mind a társadalom egészére nézve negatív következményei vannak.

Az állítás ilyenformán a következő: nincs autonóm társadalomszerkezet, ami (nemzet)
állami kereteken belül értelmezhető lenne, nincs önmagában értelmezhető osztályszerkezet
egy konténertársadalmon belül. A világrendszer-elemzés iskolájának egyik alapítója, Immanuel

Explanatory and constitutive theory
One aim of studying a wide variety of International Relations theories is to make international politics more intelligible – to make better sense of the actors, structures, institutions, processes and particular episodes mainly, but not only, in the contemporary world. At times theories may be involved in testing hypotheses, in proposing causal explanations with a view to identifying main trends and patterns in international relations – hence the claim that they are explanatory theories.

As noted earlier, in the theory of international relations it is important to be as concerned with how we approach the study of world politics as we are with events, issues and actors in the global system. It is necessary
to examine background assumptions because all forms of social analysis raise important questions about the moral and cultural constitution of the observer. It is important to reflect upon the cognitive interests and
normative assumptions which underpin research. The point here is to become acutely aware of hidden assumptions, prejudices and biases about how the social and political world is and what it can be. According to various ‘critical’ perspectives, it is futile or unrealistic to attempt to dispense with these assumptions. Indeed, postmodern approaches Scott Burchill and Andrew Linklater have called for the celebration of diverse experiences of the world of international relations while maintaining that all standpoints should be subject to forms of critical analysis which highlight their closures and exclusions (George and Campbell 1990). We can best do this by developing an awareness of the diversity of images of international relations.
The task of constitutive international theory is to analyse the different forms of reflection about the nature and character of world politics and to stress that these forms of knowledge do not simply mirror the world, but also help to shape it.
