કલાક

Explanation:
It should be 'કલાક' when the word 'hours' is preceded by a number. The number itself would suggest a plural form in Gujarati.

When translating otherwise, i.e without a number preceding the word 'hours', plural form - કલાકો can be used.

Example sentence(s):
  • Eng: I am waiting for you since 2 hours.
  • Guj: હું 2 કલાક થી તમારી રાહ જોવ છું.

કલાક

Explanation:
It is always 2 કલાકો. We never use plural when it comes to using hours after number. The translation should be such that it can be understood by the last person. We never say અમે ત્યાં બે કલાકો સુધી બેઠા. અથવા અમને ત્યાં પહોંચતા 3 કલાકો થયા. So it is always "hour" when it is after a number.

Sorry. First line should be "It is never 2 કલાકો".
