Dear Asker, yesterday I visited a pharmacy for my own needs but had a conversation with the pharmacist as AD refill - here are her ideas:
1.
as NR stands if no refill, AD refill if no capitals would be derived from Latin "for refill"
like this: ad us. ext. = ad usum externum = for external use
2.
AD can be administration
3.
The smart lady recommended me a site:
http://carrington.edu/blog/medical/decoding-prescriptions-un...
What Goes Into A Prescription?
A standard medical prescription usually includes a few key pieces of information like the name of the drug, the strength and the recommended dosage. It will also include specific directions for how you should use it, the total quantity of the medication that is being prescribed and the number of authorized refills that you have before the prescription will need to be renewed.

http://www.aafp.org/fpm/2011/1100/fpm20111100p16-rt1.pdf
Section 58 Dispensing of controlled substances in Schedule II; maintenance of records and
inventories by registered pharmacies. (e) A prescription for a controlled substance included in
Schedule III or IV shall not be filled or refilled more than six months after the date thereof or be
refilled more than five times, unless renewed by the practitioner.

Additional quantities may only be authorized by the prescribing medical practitioner through issuance of a new prescription order that shall be treated by the pharmacist
as a new and separate prescription order.

So based on the above, I raise my level of confidence to CL3

https://www.drugs.com/article/prescription-abbreviations.htm...

Asker: Grazie, grazie mille! Indicazioni utilissime!
