Bio

The precision of a lawyer and legal translator combined with the fluency and style of a literary translator

Over 15-years experience as a translator. I am Italian American, US born and raised, and English is my mother tongue. In addition to US English I have extensive experience translating into UK/Commonwealth English.

Experience translating IT>EN and ES>EN technical legal/financial documents for major law firms in Washington DC and as a freelance translator. While working as an in-house translator, I translated technical documents such as depositions, court transcripts, complex financial contracts and analyst reports. Licensed US attorney.

Received an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in literary translation in 2016 from the University of Arkansas (one of the few universities that offer such a program). I have had several translations of short stories and excerpts from novels published in top US literary journals and received a PEN/Heim translation fund grant in 2017. 

Experience translating a wide range of documents such as articles on art, architecture, fashion design; marketing materials; scientific and academic papers.
