As a simultaneous interpreter for more than 17 years of experience in local, regional and international markets, I am currently exploring new opportunities in the field. I am Lebanese with Arabic as my mother tongue. Although the majority of my assignments have been Arabic/English/Arabic, my linguistic pairs also include Arabic/French.

Fueled by an undying thirst for excellence, I have managed, through 17 years of experience, to secure appointments with various UN agencies both as a conference and a field interpreter. I also worked as a conference interpretation instructor at the Saint Joseph University and am currently in charge of interpretation classes at the public Lebanese University.

I am on the UNESCWA, the STL and other agencies’ roster of conference interpreters and have been recommended by these esteemed institutions to serve in various international conferences and missions, namely the UN International Commission of Inquiry on Darfur in January 2005, The UN International Independent Investigation Commission (UNIIIIC) in 2005- 2006, The Panel of Experts on Darfur, in 2010, the UNOHCR Committee on Torture missions to Lebanon in 2009 and 2011 and the Commission of Inquiry on Syria’s missions to Lebanon and Turkey from 2013 until now.

On various occasions, and when asked to do so, I often formed my own team through my network of senior interpreters and have always been commended for my management skills and the great pool of talents I gathered on my team. Throughout my career, I have proven to be a resourceful person with a high sense of professionalism. The people I worked with both at conferences and in the field have always been appreciative of my disposition to go the extra mile while remaining focused on my role as interpreter.
