I am a professionally trained English <> Spanish translator and interpreter supported by experience as a practicing lawyer and notary. As part of my law practice I have translated legal documents for my clients, mostly in the Spanish into English combination. Due to my long-time interest in translation and languages, I decided to pursue translation studies and in 2012 completed a Professional Certificate in English to Spanish Translation from New York University (NYU).

My academic preparation also includes a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from a US university accredited by the Middle States Association and a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited school in the USA.
Besides the Translation Certificate, I have taken several interpretation courses.

My specializations are legal, medical, and business translations.

Since I studied law in the US and have practiced law in the Puerto Rican courts, which have Spanish as their official language, I am knowledgeable of legal terminology in English and Spanish and translate legal texts in both directions.

In the interpretation field, I have experience in consecutive interpretation and provide both face-to-face and over-the-telephone interpretation services for legal proceedings, medical appointments, interviews, depositions, human services, customer service calls for banks, insurance and financial companies, mortgage servicers, utility and credit card companies, etc.
