disagree  AllegroTrans: It's not a "direction place" (whatever that means) and "job pertaining status" makes no sense; "adscribed" is not current English in this context either

agree  Traduz4Clarity: As a matter of fact you are correct about the adscribe. It's an archaic word alright. But many legal documents use archaic words. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/adscribe

disagree  Traduz4Clarity: Which Latin countries? My young adult life was in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, etc. with my father's work abroad and I failed to see that word there. You're right: it's uncommon in the U.S. But not impossible. Maybe you're right. Can't confirm that, though

agree  Stephen D. Moore: But if the target audience is in the USA, "assigned to this Director's Office" will get the idea across better than "Directorate."

-> Surely Americans have SOME international literacy?? Do we really have to simplify things that much for them? Try my Google search for Directorate and tell me how many US hits you get!

agree  Elizabeth Joy Pitt de Morales: Absolutely correct, and perfectly appropriate for Americans, who do, indeed, have some international literacy (recent events aside).

assigned to the post of Director (or assigned as a Director)

Explanation:
assigned to the post of Director (or assigned as a Director) (in the specialty of Rural M.D.)
*M.D.: Medical Doctor (because the word "Doctor", alone, does not designate, necessarily, that it's a "medical" one, in English). Hope it helps.

NATIVE PROFFICIENCY GRANTED BY CAMBRIDGE AND CEFR-Answer to AllegroTrans' challenge:

Dear Mr. AllegroTrans, I am surprised and shocked to have received a question from you by email (featured further below) but fail to find the opportunity (no open box for answers) to exercise my right to respond in the box further below. In face of my right to respond to your reply I will do it here.

You do not have the right to define anybody, to question or mock anybody's qualifications, citizenship, etc. En plus, I am not your subordinate.

In spite of your lack of politeness, I will answer your (not very elegant and rather belligerent) attempt to put in question my English skills: Yes, I am an American (a fact, which you clearly seem to despise) and because sometimes I take tests along with my ESL students for moral support, I know that I have Native proficiency in English (level C) from Camdridge, which most of my neighbors (Americans) do not have. The County Mayor to whom I do legal translations (in the U.S.) says I am more fluent and draft better documents than his whole staff. Language and Law are my field of study/expertise (in different languages) since I was a teenager.

I am here to try to help the asker Dariusz free of charge. In this endeavor, I am entitled to my opinion without having my qualifications questioned or my citizenship offended. I do not wish to engage in any idle belligerent conversation. It goes against my religion. I have better things to do throughout this lovely sunny Sunday that just started in the city where I am right now. I wish you the best and kindly request that, unless you can speak with respect towards Americans and humane love towards other human beings and colleagues, instead of taking ProZ Kudoz as your battle field, please refrain from interacting with me. It is my prerogative. Insults have limits.

ProZ is not about you or neither of us, nor our qualifications. It's about the cause. And it's not very becoming to question a colleague's qualifications. It sounds like envy and jealousy. It sounds like a failed attempt at character assassination, which is a crime. Most of all, "quem desdenha quer comprar".

I did not give you permission to insult my American citizenship, or question my skills. I did not question yours. And I will not, as it's none of my concern. It's a punch below the waist. You made this personal. That was the moment your path and goal became different from helping the asker Dariusz, who is also in America. You do not define me. And I will block you if you attack me, my citizenship or my skills. I am a human being and my human rights are sacred and you do not have the right to attack it. It became clear that your problem here, that the most important thing to you, is to be right. I will make you happy: your answer, indeed, can be right.

It is worth mentioning that, in translation, as HURTADO, RABADAN, VAZQUEZ AYORA, GARCIA YEBRA, PYM, SARCEVIC, LUCJA BIEHL, PRIETO RAMOS, REISS AND VERMEER, DEBORA CAO, VAZQUEZ Y DEL ARBOL and many others say, there are many possible answers to a translation unit.

disagree  AllegroTrans: It has nothing to do with a post of director, it is an administrative authority (look at the suffix "-ión"
26 mins
-> Dear Sir, as you well pointed out, "ión" has, indeed, a pattern. Words ending in "ión" (nación, noción, etc.) = naTION, noTION, etc. So, using yr rationale, "Dirección" would be "Direction" as per yr rhetoric & argumentation. So, Directorate = Directorado

disagree  Stephen D. Moore: The post this person filled was "Médico Rural." If one is translating for a US audience, "Office of the Director" is often the best rendition, if it can be used.
